COVID-19 Bulletin

The health and safety of our clients and the entire team at The Mama’s Physio is of top priority.  We will stay current on the COVID-19 situation, review accurate evidence from reliable sources, and make updates to our policies and procedures as new information becomes available.

From the Government of Canada website (as of the date of this bulletin publication):

The public health risk associated with COVID-19 is low for the general population in Canada but this could change rapidly. There is an increased risk of more severe outcomes for Canadians: aged 65 and over; with compromised immune systems; with underlying medical conditions.

At our office, we have taken action consistent with guidelines from the Government of Canada as well as provincial and local authorities.  We have reinforced our already robust hygiene and infection control protocols, paused group events, and taken additional precautions to keep our clients, staff, and volunteers healthy and well.  Please read more about our Infection Control Strategy for further details about what we’re doing.

Since the risk to Canadians is currently low, our office remains open and we continue to offer physiotherapy care for all appropriate clients. We want to reassure you that:

  • It is safe for your to attend all of your appointments and to receive care at The Mama’s Physio.
  • We continue to receive updates about Coronavirus and implement prevention recommendations.
  • If you have a fever, new onset of cough, and/or difficulty breathing please call or email us right away we will be happy to assist you with arranging a telehealth appointment or rescheduling your in-person appointment.
  • If you have come in close contact with a confirmed or probable case of COVID-19 please contact your local public health unit for guidance on possible exposure protocols.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact our clinic director by emailing
